Pacers Acquire Luis Scola
The Indiana Pacers acquire Luis Scola from the Phoenix Suns and it only cost them Gerald Green, Miles Plumlee and a lottery protected pick in 2014.
Scola joins what is beginning to look like a solid Pacers team for next season, teaming alongside arguably the most complete centre in the league, Roy Hibbert and veteran David West in the front court. With the addition of bench guard CJ Watson and hopefully a mended Danny Granger the Pacers are obviously in a ‘win now’ mode as they seek to get past the Miami Heat on their quest for an NBA championship.
In my opinion the Pacers would have rolled the Heat in the Eastern Conference finals with a healthy Granger last season but the recent additions is adding strength to strength. With a current squad including Hibbert, Scola, West, Copeland, Granger, George, Stephenson, Hill, and Watson, the Pacers are looking like a team and one capable of eliminating the Heat with again what seems to be a James, Wade, and Bosh led team with a bunch of veteran min type guys around them. The East just got even more interesting.
I’m calling it now. The Pacers to be the 2014 NBA Champions.
