NFL 2013-14 Fantasy Football Rankings

Colin Kaepernick

The wait is almost over…

The NFL pre-season is upon us as we gear up for yet another exciting season, and for some, more importantly (well, not for most of our partners), Fantasy Football is back!!!

The 2012-2013 season was dominated by the Quarterback position, including the emergence of bright new talent including the likes of RG3, Luck, Wilson and Kaepernick. However, we have our money firmly on the need to draft your Running Backs and Wide Receivers early this year. Why? Well the depth at Quarterback this year is very strong, meaning that you could probably wait until rounds 5-8 to draft your starter, however, given stocks at Running Back at wide receiver are fairly limited, they will become valuable commodities, especially on the trading market.

So, what is our suggested strategy in a 10-12 team, 13 round fantasy draft? Get your skilled positions filled up first: RB, RB, WR, WR, RB, QB, TE, WR, RB, QB, WR, DST and K. Please do keep in mind that it is important to review your strategy based on the best players available, which depends greatly on how your draft is going. For example, should you wish to draft a Quarterback early (tier 1 consists of Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers only), you could make a move for them in round 2 (we would sit on all other quarterbacks until later in the draft given similar expected production). The Defenses and Kickers should be kept until last, with the former varying quite greatly from year to year.

To help you out, we have pulled together below our rankings for each position based on a points-per-reception (PPR) basis. We’re happy to provide advice to you all season long, so don’t be afraid to hit us up.  :)
